The Topo cocktail table is inspired by our connections with places, designed as an abstraction of topography. I explored a variety of materials, choosing acrylic for its rich color, depth, interplay of 2D and 3D, light, shadow and color. 

 

Where Topo embraces place, the Flipside embraces negative space, resulting from Topo's topographical shapes. As a set, they marry the positive and negative, yin and yang. Each piece creates the other, utilizing the same material for zero waste. The Flipside can be flipped in any direction for use as a side table, bench, or laid flat for low seating. 

 

And the Jungle lamp consists of acrylic pieces I laser cut for early Topo sketch models. I overlapped multiple layers to create the lamp, giving rise to the Flipside table concept.
